It’s Homecoming Week!  Please scroll through the Alva Public Schools Facebook news feed to see all of the events for this week.  Also, check out the homepage of our website to see a list of Distinguished Goldbugs that will be recognized Saturday morning at 11:30 in the cafeteria of Alva Middle School.  Tickets are available at the central office for $25.  I was fortunate to attend this banquet last year, and if you have an opportunity to attend I would highly recommend it.

I also would like to direct you to a new communication method that the school district will be using.  Alva Public Schools has an app for Android and iPhone devices.  If you have an Android phone, just go to the Google Play store and download the app, Alva Public Schools.  If you have an iPhone follow the directions below:

Open App Store

Click on Search

Search for “School Door” or “Gabbart E-Notes

Click “Get” then “Open”

Find Alva Public Schools on the list.

At the top of the page… to the right of Alva Public Schools, click on the gear, then Notification Settings.  Make sure all notification are checked that you want to receive in the Notifications icon.
